Red flowers on black with danglers is a decorative peice painted on the lid of a wooden fruit crate.  The lid is make up of two pine panels which slot together giving the piece a rustic, unique look.  The piece was inspired by an eclectic mix:  decorative enamel painted pots,  boats and barges, jewellery and flowers.  At the bottom of the painting, I have drilled three irregular holes and from those I have hung metal chain with fimo shapes which I made and baked in the oven.
